Atacand

Hypertension and high blood pressure are two of the most common medical conditions up to this day. For those having high blood pressure, Atacand is taken once or even twice a day, with doses ranging from 8mg to 32mg. For those suffering from heart failure, Atacand doses ranges between 4mg and 32mg, taken at least one dose in a day. It is very important to tell your respective doctor about other medications that you are having, especially with medications that deal with high blood pressure. Keep your doctor aware, especially if you have lithium intakes, because Atacand is one medication that can relatively add amounts of lithium into your blood.

For the pregnant women, it is not advised to take Atacand on the second trimester onwards of the pregnancy. If you are taking Atacand and have plans of getting pregnant, might as well stop the medication and see your doctor for other alternatives so that your baby will not be compromised along the way.

Atacand Side Effects- Provided that you follow specific instructions given by your doctors upon taking the Atacand medications, side effects of Atacand is relatively low. Studies have shown that the only side effects of people having these medications are just the common cold symptoms, back pains, dizziness, sore throat, and stuffy or runny nose.

There are also some reasons for discontinued treatments with regards to Atacand and some of them are unexpected headaches. Be it minor or not, when you feel that there is something wrong the moment you take these medications, have a visit with your doctors immediately.

What is Atacand HCT? The Atacand HCT is basically combinations of Atacand and the hydrochlorothizide—a diuretic and is sometimes called water pill. Unlike Atacand, this type of drug is not designed to be a primary treatment for high blood pressure.
