Aside from being called an enzyme inhibitor, Propecia is further categorized into three: it is under alopecia androgentica, benign prostatic hyperplasia therapy agent and it is also under the hair growth stimulant category. But don’t be confused with so many categorizations.

Primarily, Propecia is a treatment for patients who suffer prostate enlargement which causes urinary disorders. This is medically termed as BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia. Also be reminded that Propecia does not provide curing effect for your condition. It is only given by doctors to relieve the symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia, especially in maintaining a decreased prostate size. You must take this medicine consistently. For some patients, Propecia is a life time treatment. If your condition does not improve right away, discuss this with your doctor. Usually it takes half a year for Propecia to take effect.
