Tenex

Distributed and marketed under its generic name Guanfacine, Tenex is one potent solution formulated to treat signs and symptoms of hypertension or high blood pressure. It is noted throughout the medical industry as an antihypertensive agent that works to reduce the levels of diastolic and systolic pressure in the blood in a simple mechanism which involves the activation of the so-called adrenergic receptors of the central nervous system. If you are thinking of stopping from its intake, make sure to contact with your doctor first. A sudden stop may cause withdrawal symptoms to occur, and this will definitely be unsafe for patients. Other serious medical conditions may even occur following the sudden stop of Tenex drug use, and if left untreated or ignored, death is highly possible.

Speaking of symptoms, patients suffering from high blood pressure and who are prescribed with this medication are expected to feel a myriad of side effects possible with Tenex. In addition, people with high blood pressure may also experience dryness of mouth, changes in mood, decreased sexual desire, impotence, cramping of the legs, and changes in taste days after taking Tenex.

With all such bothering side effects that Tenex is capable of causing, every parties involved in the treatment must observe certain precautions while using the drug. If possible, every condition experienced before and after the treatment must be reported to medical experts handling the case. Examples of conditions that need to be reported prior to the treatment are liver and kidney failure, heart disease, and problems with the circulatory system.

Not only that. It is also expected for patients taking Tenex to quit from alcohol drinking as this will only lead to dizziness, fainting, and drowsiness if continued. Saunas and hot showers must also be avoided while on this drug as they can worsen dizziness, and when engaging into heavy activities, patients should take extra care. Pregnant women must also consult their doctor before opting for Tenex. Well, all of these precautions must be maintained by older patients since Tenex in children is not yet found to be possible or effective.
